About Us

Are You Well studios specialises in video post production for business and film. It was set up to bring a bit of laughter and lightheartedness into a world that was otherwise cluttered with a bunch of LinkedIn jargon and boring infographics that fail to stand out.

What We Do

If you’ve shot your entire film, promotional video or documentary, and you’ve hours and hours of raw footage to filter through, hand it over to Are You Well Studios and we’ll have your project looking well. (We can also shoot the video and more!)

Video Post Production

Colour correction & grading, motion graphics, special effects, subtitling, sound design, typography animation; you name it.

We will take your footage and edit it until your project is looking well.

Proficient in the Adobe Suite, like Premiere Pro & After Effects, Canva, Final Cut Pro, and my absolute favourite, DaVinci Resolve! 💖

What video editing services do you provide?

Fixing and stylizing the colour of the video, special effects, basic trimming and cutting, making the video sound cool, throwing subtitles and text animations on screen, and basically everything needed to take your RAW files and turn them into a finished product. From motion graphics to sound design, there’s a lot that goes on in the post-production process, so if you have any specific questions, please reach out.

What kind of videos do you make?

We enjoy creating all sorts of content, including short and feature films, social media posts, advertisements, documentaries and event coverage.

While we work across many genres, we find that nothing helps connect audiences better than making them laugh. That’s why we love to work in comedy, and have worked a lot in the field of making funny advertisements, comedic short films and stand-up comedy gigs.

Can you add subtitles to a video?

Whether it’s an already edited video, or a brand new project, adding subtitles is no issue. We know our way around animated subtitles too, if that’s what you like. We can add subtitles in English and As Gaeilge, but if you need any other languages, that’s fine as long as you can confirm the spellings, grammar, etc! (Unfortunately, we’re not fluent in every language.)

Do you source music, sound effects or stock imagery?

We absolutely can. We currently have active subscriptions to stock websites, and we’re also closely involved with a network of creative freelancers, in case you want something cooler and more authentic.

I already shot the videos, I just need an editor. Can you help?

Are You Well Studios specialises in video post-production. We love editing, whether the video was shot by us or not, and it’s by far our favourite part of making any video. Send your videos over to us and we’ll take it from there.

Unlike many others, we offer fully transparent pricing for our projects, so that you don’t get charged with hidden or unexpected fees. We do this when outlining the contract/scope of your project, by offering fixed pricing that will be advised before commencing the project.

Who set up Are You Well Studios?

This is Alan McLoughlin, and this is how he looks after serious amounts of Photoshop. He’s an accomplished video editor and digital marketer who’s been making videos ever since his first ever short film when he was 16. It was terrible. He since elevated his video production skills, and built a serious network of collaborators who are waiting to sink their teeth into some video projects, whether it be B2B campaigns or film production.

Do you use AI generated content?

Nope! It’s a closely held belief that if you’re investing time and money into your project, you should have competent people supporting the project, and have a much better quality of work than what a free app has to offer.

That’s why Are You Well Studios is committed to completing all projects with human creativity, old fashioned elbow grease, and years of experience to make your project authentically successful.

What does Are You Well Studios actually do?

Colour correction, motion graphics, audio, vfx, and just about everything you can expect from the post production process. From feature films to TikTok reels, we can take your videos and make them into a polished piece of work we can all be proud of.

I want a 90 minute film edited, is that too much for you to handle?

Are You Well Studios is open to all sorts of film and video work, from short stories to feature length films. If you want your work on the big screen, I definitely recommend getting in touch and we can talk about what Are You Well Studios has to offer.

I have a short film that needs an editor, can you do that?

Are You Well Studios can take your project to the next level, whether it’s 5 minutes or 35 minutes long. If you’re looking for a video editor for your short film, look no further!

What software do you use to edit?

DaVinci Resolve is our software of choice. You can’t really go wrong with a professional industry-standard, award-winning colour grading software capable of special effects, motion graphics and advanced audio editing capabilities. All of that just to make sure your project looks well.

We have used other software in the past, including Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, Final Cut, and even Capcut. However, we feel that none of these quite compare to the standard we can achieve with good ol’ Mr. Davinci.

Do you just do video work?

Primarily, yes. We don’t offer marketing strategies as a standalone service, but we can offer valuable insights, recommendations and assistance when it comes to planning and executing strategies with the content we make for you.

Do we need to write our own script?

It’s excellent if you know exactly what you want, but if you’re struggling with ideation or simply don’t have the time, we can absolutely help with the pre-production phase of your project.

Do I have to be on set when you're shooting?

If we’re shooting on your company’s premise, then we’d absolutely need someone with us to ensure we’re actually allowed to be there and do what we need to do. Otherwise, it’s up to yourself whether you wish to be there, and we can absolutely take control of the directing and shooting if needed.

How much do you charge for your services?

How long is a piece of string?

The cost of a project depends on the length and complexity of the video. We usually offer fixed pricing for our projects, which will be advised before starting your project and agreed upon in our project contract/scope.

We offer a free consultation, where we will provide a detailed estimate of the project scope once we understand your project a little better.

No but seriously, how much do you charge?

No, seriously, it depends. If you had a budget of €1,000 to make a TikTok reel, that’s gonna bring a much better level of quality than someone who has a €1,000 budget for a feature length film. If you want an accurate quote for your project, it’ll be much better to discuss your project first so we all know what to expect.

Does the initial quote you provide cover the full project scope?

Generally, yes. We usually offer fixed pricing on all projects, meaning the only way the price will change is if:

Additional services not included in the original agreement are requested.
Additional revision rounds are requested. We offer a free revision round, so if you have any changes to make to make after the first draft, that’s your time to request those changes.

Do I have to pay upfront?

Our standard payment terms are a 50% upfront payment. The remaining 50% will be due when the project is complete. We do this to make sure there’s a balanced, fair payment schedule for all involved.

Do you like memes?

I love memes. In fact, memes have been used in very successful social strategies for some of our previous clients. They can be an excellent way of building awareness and recognition for your brand, while being a useful assist in conveying your brand’s voice.

Where do you live?

Are You Well Studios is based in Dublin 11, Ireland, but we have worked with clients all over Ireland and internationally.

Do I need to know what my project is?
